The Shockin' Papas is a Rock/Blues influenced band from Nice that has been performing in festivals, pubs and clubs on the French Riviera as well as in private events, since its creation in 2015. Three of our members (Pierre, Paul and Jules) are professional musicians (freelancers and event contractors).

Our band performs from duo to quintet

Composed of 3 guitarists singers (Paul, Erwan, Pierre) and its rhythm section bass / drums (Thibaut and Jules, also singers), the formation brings to its covers of the great classics of rock and pop vocal harmonies inspired by the Beatles, the Rolling Stones or Neil Young.

The guitar arrangements, influenced by bands such as The Eagles or Lynyrd Skynyrd, are enhanced by a solid and catchy rhythmic.

Just like Nirvana's Unplugged live show and its influence on all band members, we love to perform acoustically. This is a big part of our gigs in pubs and restaurants.

We are trained in the sweat of the rock stages of the pubs of old Nice, places in which we continue to perform in front of our faithful audience. Our music is aimed at all lovers of rock and pop in the long list of genres and movements that it encompasses, an audience from 7 to 77 years. Our energy on stage and the work of our musicalitý do not leave anyone indifferent, especially on party nights, when the audience dances to Sweet Home Alabama, Should I Stay Or Should I Go, Somebody Told Me or Hotel California, as can be seen in the following newspaper clipping from Music Day 2020:

We attach great importance to the preparation of a performance, and above all, to its sound quality. Because even before playing for an audience, we play for the music. For that we use professional equipment and we take particular care in the adjustments and tunings in order to obtain the best possible sound.
